We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new website! With the mission of amplifying feminist perspectives within urban mobility, the Global Alliance for Feminist Transport aims to facilitate low-barrier access to sustainable and inclusive mobility solutions on a global scale.
The Global Alliance for Feminist Transport was inspired by the connection of three networks who aim to empower women in the transport sector and share a vision of transport systems that work for all users. Women Mobilize Women, Women on the Move (Asia), and Women in Motion (Latin America and Spain) decided to join forces with the aim of connect more actors in the field. After a first announcement at the Building Feminist Cities workshop in Delhi in 2023, the Global Alliance for Feminist Transport was officially launched during a networking session at the ITF Summit 2024. Today, we present the finished online hub and open it up for contributions from the community.
With the launch of this platform, we pursue one main objective: to create a comprehensive resource for anyone interested in fostering gender-responsive urban mobility, with the latest know-how on feminist transport and mobility, and an overview of the individuals and organizations driving this change.
