Andrea Maria Navarrete Mogollon

Andrea María Navarrete Mogollón holds a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Literature and a Master’s degree in Philosophy from Universidad Industrial de Santander (Bucaramanga). With extensive experience in the public sector, she served as the Bicycle Manager of Bogotá under the District Mobility Secretariat. Currently, she is a gender and social inclusion consultant for projects in active mobility, security, habitat, and public space, and she coordinates the gender component in the Technical Direction of Safety at Transmilenio S.A.

In 2020, she was recognized on the Remarkable Women in Transport list by the Transformative Urban Mobility Institute (TUMI) in Germany. Andrea is a member of the European network of female cyclists, Women in Cycling, and was a mentor for the Women on the Move mentorship project in Asia. Additionally, she leads the Research, Data Analysis, and Policy group of the FEM.DESIGN TOOLBOX team of The Gendered City Project.

Andrea is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Engineering with a focus on transportation at Universidad de los Andes (Bogota). Her research centers on the intersection of transport and gender.
