Daniela Abril Gutierrez

With a background in Architecture and a Master’s Degree in Urban Management and Development, I specialize in advancing active mobility, feminist urbanism, and inclusive urban governance. My work is deeply rooted in social innovation, and the creation of equitable and sustainable public life.

As the Research & Development Manager at BYCS, a global non-profit based in Amsterdam, I lead efforts to close the gender gap in cycling, striving to make cycling more accessible to women and other marginalized communities. My role involves the development and execution of action-research projects, impact measurement, and the implementation of programs. I approach my work through the lenses of intersectionality, systems thinking, and just sustainable transitions, aiming to foster urban environments that are both inclusive and sustainable for all.
