Selected speaking engagements

European Development Days (EDD) 2019 – with the overarching theme of: “Addressing inequalities: building a world which leaves no one behind”

• Presented an on-stage speech and spoke in a High-Level Panel (HLP) together with Permanent Secretary Ministry of ICT of Rwanda, Regional Director for the EU for the WB Arup Banerji, Deputy-Director General of JRC Charlina Vitcheva, Regional Coordinator of UNCDF;

• Discussed key development issues and argued policy recommendations during various meetings with (1) dignitaries from the European Commission DG DEVCO including DG Stefano Manservisi himself, (2) EU Commissioner for International Development and Cooperation Neven Mimica, (3) Her Majesty Queen Mathilde of the Belgians, and (4) high representatives from the United Nations (UNICEF, UNFPA, and UN Women);
