I am Mahnaz, a researcher dedicated to exploring sustainable urban transport solutions and understanding commuting behaviour. In my PhD research, I analyzed commuting patterns in Italy using advanced statistical methods such as clustering and spatial analysis.

Additionally, my work delves into differences in commuting behaviour across gender and age groups, utilizing descriptive and cluster analysis to uncover meaningful insights. My research also focuses on cyclists’ safety, examining factors that influence their vulnerability on the roads. By integrating gender- and age-based analysis into my road safety studies, I aim to highlight the unique needs of diverse user groups.
I am particularly interested in influencing public perceptions to foster an environment where cyclists and all road users can navigate safely and responsibly. In my work, I seek to develop transportation solutions that are both inclusive and sustainable to meet the needs of urban citizens.
