As a project manager at The Centre for Active Transportation (TCAT), Sophie manages and implements a variety of projects and studies to make streets safer and more inclusive for cycling and walking. She co-leads research furthering understanding of Toronto’s greenspace access barriers and for the City of Toronto’s Cycling Survey; leads a project supporting the development of Canada’s micromobility industry through a standardized mechanic curriculum and inclusivity strategies; and co-leads the Community of Practice for the Mobilizing Justice Initiative, addressing transportation inequities in Canadian cities. She supports community bicycle hub programs that promote suburban cycling culture and community engagement to shape Toronto Bike Share’s expansion plan. Before joining TCAT, Sophie coordinated a range of urban sustainability projects and initiatives with local governments around the world, with focuses on behaviour change, citizen science, place-based approaches, and the wellbeing economy.
