Zefi Dimadama, PhD, MSc teaching as Lecturer at the Department of International, European and Area Studies at Panteion University. She holds a PhD and a Master’s degree in the scientific field of “Regional Development and Environmental Policies.”
She is a member of the Global Network “Leading Women for Oceans” (LWO).
She has served as Secretary General for Gender Equality and Human Rights at the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family, and she has also been the General Director of the International Center for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS).
She has a strong presence in international forums and has made significant contributions to research activities in the fields of Economics, Sustainable Development, Environment, Gender Equality and Human Rights.
As the Vice President of PES Women , she led the Network on Climate Change and Environment on their behalf, and she also serves as the President of the Athens branch of the Union of Women of Greece (EGE).
She is internationally active in research and academic collaborations related to Climate Crisis and Women and Girl Empowerment. She is the author of two monographs: “Economy, Development, Environment: Theoretical Approaches and Sustainable Development Policies” (Papazisis Publications, 2008), and “Sustainable Economic Development: The Integration of the 17 UN Goals: Economic and Environmental Dimensions” (Papazisis Publications, 2021). She also contributes to individual and collective scientific announcements in Greek and international publications.
She is an honorary member of the Advisory Committee of the International Center for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS) and the American Meteorological Society (AMS) – Ad Hoc International Committee for Meteorology and Climate Change, Board on Enterprise Economic Development, Boston, USA.
