As the UN Decade of Sustainable Transport (2026–2035) begins, Women on the Move – Transforming Transport in Asia is developing a booklet that brings together women’s voices from across Asia to reflect on and help shape the future of transport.
The publication will explore how transport systems influence women’s access to work, care, safety and participation, drawing on lived experience, professional practice, research and leadership across diverse Asian contexts.
Women professionals, practitioners, researchers and advocates are invited to submit a short abstract aligned with one or more of the following themes:
- Women’s mobility, safety and equity
- Transport and livelihoods
- Just transition and decarbonisation
- Mobility of care and life-stage needs
- Technology, data and innovation for inclusion
- Climate-vulnerable and context-specific settings
The booklet aims to amplify grounded, diverse perspectives and contribute to more inclusive and people-centred transport futures in the context of the UN Decade of Sustainable Transport.
Deadline for submissions: 31 January 2026
