Candela Hernandez is a CONICET researcher and lecturer at the University of Buenos Aires, based at the Gino Germani Institute. She holds a PhD in Social Sciences and is a sociologist (UBA) specialising in transport, sustainable mobility and gender. She researches women’s labour inclusion in historically male-dominated sectors, especially passenger and freight transport. She leads the outreach platform @transportar.ar, recognised in 2025 by the Latin American Observatory on Gender and Mobility.
