I have been actively working to advance climate action through science-based policy, planning, and finance across India and other Asian countries. Around 13 years ago, I founded The Celestial Earth, an environmental research and consulting firm focused on climate change, sustainability, and resilient development.
With over 17 years of experience, I have led multidisciplinary teams working on climate vulnerability assessments, low-carbon development pathways, renewable energy integration, and climate finance mechanisms across India and Asia.
My work bridges research and implementation through District and State Climate Action Plans, net-zero strategies for cities like Gurugram, and climate-resilient pathways for Kerala and Goa, including projects supported by the World Bank. I have also contributed to low-carbon investment frameworks in Bhutan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka while advising governments on biodiversity finance and ecosystem valuation.
As a researcher and female entrepreneur, I remain committed to driving evidence-based, resilient, and equitable climate solutions.

Awrds and recognitions
I have consistently worked towards fostering collaboration, shaping climate policy, and driving systemic change beyond organisational initiatives. At The Celestial Earth, I lead a multidisciplinary team that collaborates with institutions such as the World Bank, GIZ, UNDP, and the International Sustainable Energy Foundation (ISEF) to bridge science with actionable policy and implementation.
My work has contributed to state climate strategies through initiatives such as Low Carbon Pathways for Kerala and Goa and Net Zero Gurugram 2050, which has emerged as a benchmark for city-level decarbonisation. I have also worked on advancing climate finance frameworks and investment tools aimed at mobilising private sector participation in climate adaptation and mitigation.
I was recognised by the World Bank as a leading woman entrepreneur in sustainable development, and under my leadership, The Celestial Earth received the Sustainable Company Awards APAC 2024 for “Net Zero Progression of the Year” by the UK-based Environmental Finance.
