Joyce Rivera advocates for data-driven, people-centered planning, and climate action. Serving as the Transport Policy Advisor for GIZ, she leads workstreams on policy and technical support and living labs under the TRANSCEND Project covering both national and subnational approaches to promote sustainable mobility. She is also serving as technical panel expert reviewing proposals and/or implementation reports of funded research or innovation projects by the Philippine Department of Science and Technology focusing on transport and energy. Before GIZ, Joyce has been with the Department of Transportation contributing to the national e-mobility law and various public transport improvement programs. She has also collaborated with various international organizations, such as the Institute for Climate and Sustainable Cities, the Economics Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia, and The World Bank on assessing climate finance, commitments, and other sustainability efforts in the country and the Southeast Asia region.
