Mónica Sánchez Bernal is a feminist architect committed to advancing women’s rights through urbanism, land-use planning and housing. She was a contractor at the Bogotá District Secretariat for Women in the Directorate of Rights and Policy Design (2013–2020). Since 2022 she has taught at the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the University of the Andes, with courses on ‘Architecture with a Gender and Differential Approach’ and ‘Design Practices and Women’.
