In Kenya, a targeted E-Bus Training programme is being offered for women working in the public transport sector, supported by GIZ Kenya through the WE4D programme. The initiative equips female drivers and conductors with practical skills in electric vehicle (EV) technology and prepares them for opportunities in sustainable and low-carbon transport.

Commissioned by the German Government, the programme aims to strengthen participants’ professional portfolios and improve access to jobs in the growing e-mobility sector.

Who can apply:

  • Women currently working as drivers or conductors in public transport

  • Drivers must hold a PSV licence (Category D1)

  • Applicants must be active in the sector

  • Must be able to attend the training in Nairobi
