Walkability Institute (Instituto Caminhabilidade)

The Walkability Institute (Instituto Caminhabilidade) is a non-profit organization led by women and founded in 2012 that, driven by the urgency of achieving gender equality and addressing the climate crisis, develops walkable cities with citizen participation.

It does this through two lines of action, promoting the culture of walking and humanizing cities,integrating five action areas: Education and information, research and consulting, networks and events, urban projects and advocacy and partnerships.

Transport Gender Lab

The IADB Transportation Division launches the Regional Public Good called Transport Gender Lab to achieve the incorporation and strengthening of the gender perspective in transport. Regional Public Goods seek collective solutions and respond to measures and challenges through cooperation among member countries, with the ultimate goal of obtaining greater development benefits and at a lower cost.
