Femmes en Mouvement
Connecting women in transport & promoting women’s mobility.
In 2015, noting the absence of women at the podium of conferences related to mobility and transport, five women decided to found Femmes en Mouvement to change the game.
Mobility for Africa
Mobility for Africa (MFA) provides last mile, green mobility services to rural communities using custom-built electric tricycles and bespoke batteries. By leveraging technological know-how and manufacturing skills from the e-Mobility revolution, Mobility for Africa produces low-cost, quality, renewably-powered electric tricycles built for a rural, off-road environment. We are investing in the longer-term, off-grid and community-based renewable power solutions. The organization mission is to positively disrupt the rural African economy by bringing the electric vehicle revolution to ordinary people, especially women and in rural areas.
Women Who Move the Nation
We are the Voice of Equity in Transportation. Celebrating Women Who Move recognizes the outstanding contributions of women leading and advancing America’s transportation industry. Representing a broad cross-section of multi-modal transportation in both the private and public sectors, these women exemplify the very definition of excellence.
Women Rising for Africa
Women Rising for Africa is a non profit organisation with the focus on Women empowerment, safe mobility, safety, gender inclusion, creating new job opportunities and a new set of skills to improve their quality of life and economic independence.
FABIO – First African Bicycle Information Organisation
FABIO improves lives by many different programs around sustainable and affordable mobility. One focus is on women’s groups gaining access to markets, enhancing their ability to do their daily tasks faster and hence improving their productivity. Another focus is on school children, especially girls. By providing bicycles, schoolchildren having to walk really long distances, can improve their school retention and performance.

The women on Bicyle initiative s an effort by women to create a solidarity space for cycling women, give the courage, increase the number of women using the bicycle in their daily lives in Turkey and make them more visible in the cycling community.
