Women in Transport
Women in Transport is a not-for-profit that empowers women in the industry to maximise their potential. Membership provides exclusive access to events, our professional development programmes and the All Party Parliamentary Group for Women in Transport.
In Austria, more than 20 CEOs of important transport and traffic research companies have agreed to sign the underlying Memorandum of Understanding, thus advocating an increase in the proportion of women in the transport sector.
The Federal Ministry has set up its own national platform “Women in Transport” for domestic implementation. After a kick-off and follow-up meeting, a project was commissioned in which concrete measures were developed for domestic companies to increase the proportion of women.
Women Rising for Africa
Women Rising for Africa is a non profit organisation with the focus on Women empowerment, safe mobility, safety, gender inclusion, creating new job opportunities and a new set of skills to improve their quality of life and economic independence.
FABIO – First African Bicycle Information Organisation
FABIO improves lives by many different programs around sustainable and affordable mobility. One focus is on women’s groups gaining access to markets, enhancing their ability to do their daily tasks faster and hence improving their productivity. Another focus is on school children, especially girls. By providing bicycles, schoolchildren having to walk really long distances, can improve their school retention and performance.
Bisikletli Kadın İnisiyatifi (BKİ) / Women on Bicycle Initiative (WoBi)
The women on Bicyle initiative s an effort by women to create a solidarity space for cycling women, give the courage, increase the number of women using the bicycle in their daily lives in Turkey and make them more visible in the cycling community.

Women in Transport is a group of transport enthusiasts that was born from the low representation of women in the industry and the difficulties we have in the transport sector.
